    Hallo liebe Community,


    kennt jemand die Wolfburn Mythical Beasts Serie?


    Diese vier 8 Jährigen Abfüllungen Peated Quarter Cask, Manzanilla Sherry Oak, Oloroso Sherry Cask und Port Cask sind für den chinesischen Markt bestimmt. 


    Kann mir einer etwas mehr darüber verraten. Im Netz kann man rein gar nichts über diese Serie finden. Lediglich das es sich um ein Limited Release mit 500 Bottles handelt…

    Wolfburn Distillery has this year worked hand in hand with Shin Corporation to select and release a selection of our best work to date that covers a broad spectrum of tastes and expressions. Casks chosen from warehouses 1 and 2 by the manager Iain Kerr, who has filled and stowed every single barrel at Wolfburn since the early days, have been carefully tasted and examined before settling on a final four unique expressions presented here for all those who enjoy whisky to enjoy. All displaying the characteristic signature Wolfburn taste yet exploring different maturation styles these four whiskies, the limited Mythical Beast series, showcase Wolfburn Distillery at its best and are brought to you exclusively by Shin corporation China. Never chill filtered, always natural colour and all cask strength.


    Dragon
    Cask Type: Port cask (sometimes called a Port pipe)
    Alcohol Content: 56.3%
    Volume: 700ml
    Matured for 8 years at Wolfburn Distillery in Warehouse No.1 and only our second Port release. This a white port chosen for its gentle sweetness that imparts a dizzying array of complimentary flavours. A pleasantly vibrant bouquet of fresh grapes and summer fruits compliment the Wolfburn spirit in one of our most in depth flavours. Complex yet light and accessible.


    Crane
    Cask Type: Manzanilla Sherry butts
    Alcohol Content: 54.2%
    Volume: 700ml
    Matured for 8 years at Wolfburn Distillery in warehouse No.1 in a second fill of Manzanilla sherry butt. Un-chilfiltered and natural colour like all our whiskies the hints of dried fruit and brown sugar combine with the sweetness imparted by the Manzanilla wood to create a special treat. Chosen by the distillery manager Ian Kerr as our first Manzanilla release.


    Tiger
    Cask Type: Ex Olorosso
    Alcohol Content: 53%
    Volume: 700ml
    Matured for 8 years at Wolfburn Distillery in warehouse No. 2 just 1km from the sea this almost signature Wolfburn use of a second fill Oloroso sherry butt has produced a sweet and warming whisky. One to enjoy round the fire on a cold night. Hints of dark chocolate abound with a subtle hint of spice. The gentle yet deep finish warms and draws you in for more.


    Tortoise
    Cask Type: Peated Quarter casks
    Alcohol Content: 51%
    Volume: 700ml
    Matured for 8 years at Wolfburn Distillery in Warehouse No.1 in a selection of 120 litre quarter casks. Released at a cask strength of 51% this lightly peated whisky (10ppm) has a fresh fruity taste overlaid with smoke with a hint of sea salt. The smoke really comes alive with the finish and lingers pleasantly.


    gibt es bei uns hier in China zu Kaufen fuer umgerechnet ca. 280 Euro / Flasche.
    Also fuer mich absolut uninteressant bei dem Preis.

    Der Preis von 280€ die Flasche ist definitiv überzogen.

    Da fällt die Entscheidung nicht schwer.:eek:


    Sie sind mir zum Kauf angeboten worden, nur weiß ich halt nicht, ob der Kurs gerecht fertig ist. Da es halt ein Limited Release ist und nur für den chinesischen Markt gedacht…..


    Dachte über eine Geldsnlage nach:twisted:

    @Thatch Ich habe mich nicht informiert wann dieser Released wurde, jedoch gibt es Online jede Menge Haendler die die Flaschen anbieten.
    Sieht nicht so aus als ob sich die Serie so gut verkauft     :twisted:
